It has been my honor and pleasure serving the students and families of Grant D. Morse Elementary School as Principal since July of 2009. Since my first day on the job, it has been my goal, and the goal of our staff to provide our students with a safe, fun and engaging school environment to successfully meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of all our students. Working together collaboratively as a school community with all stakeholders, we strive to accomplish this goal on a daily basis. 

Since my earlier years in education during my time as a guidance counselor and even today, I continue to use a visual of a “Tripod” to offer an explanation of how our school staff, parents, and students work together to help foster success with our students, thus success with our school. 

The basic structure of a “Tripod” offers enormous strength and stability when ALL “3 legs" are strong, sturdy, and working together, but also doing their individual job with supporting any given object. With regards to the visual making a connection to the relationships in our school, I offer each leg representing the following: The School, The Student, and The Parent, supporting a student’s success. Thus, when our school, our students and our parents are all strong and working collaboratively together this will support the success of our students.
