Students can use the magnetic letters to build words.

Grade K:  can work on sounding out (tapping) and building CVC words with short a. (Ex.  hat, mat, sad, tap)

Grade 1:  students can work on building words with short vowels and diagraphs (sh, ch, th, wh, ck) or blends (sl,fl,pl,gl,bl, dr,tr, pr, fr, gr, etc). (Ex. shop, chip, think, step, jump)

Grade 2:  students can practice making words with long and short vowels using magic e or vowel teams.  (Ex. plane, train, sheet, float, etc.)
