A bit on “Homework”  and grading.                                                                                                                                                            

Your child will come home with activities to complete throughout the week. 

The purpose of homework is to practice the skills taught in class and build fluency in reading and math facts. 

*If your child is struggling with their homework, please make a note and tell me. 

Homework should NOT take longer than 15-20 minutes to complete. 

Otherwise, it is defeating the purpose of practicing at home. 

We want our learners to be confident, not frustrated. 

Children will be graded based on their progress in meeting grade-level expectations in all subject areas.  In addition, they will be evaluated based on their effort, organization, and preparedness.
