Mr. Zelamsky has always had a passion for music. As a kid, he took piano and voice lessons, consistently working on his musicianship. He also took part in the school plays and musicals, community theatre, and theatre camp activities. A couple of his favorite roles include Barfee in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Prince Herbert in Spamalot!, and Action in West Side Story. He has come to win multiple awards for his roles in theatre. Mr. Zelamsky decided to attend Ithaca College to pursue a B.M in Music Education-voice, where he shaped his music theory and aural skills, was trained to sing classical and contemporary music, and learned how to teach any type of music to all students. He also took part in the top choral and vocal jazz ensembles at Ithaca College. His training has prepared him to do what he has always wanted to do...teach music! Mr. Zelamsky is beyond excited to be working at Saugerties Jr./Sr. High School, and is dedicated to ensure every student is receiving an equitable education through diverse and collaborative musical and therapeutic experiences.
