• Study Skills Strategies

    Studying becomes a very important skill in Junior High and beyond.  Many students do not possess these skills.  Utilize the suggestions below to see success when it comes to studying. 
     
    -Make flash cards.  Follow the following link to my Quizlet site to download printable flashcards or create your own.    http://quizlet.com/lcooper31
     
    -Write the information as many times as it takes to memorize it.
     
    -Read it out loud.  It has also been proven effective when you read information out load and walk, the information is more apt to get locked in your brain:)
     
    -Create a study guide the summarizes the important information.
     
    -Grab a study buddy and quiz each other.  Do it for as long as it takes to memorize the information.
     
    -Create a foldable so you can quiz yourself. 
     
    These suggestions aren't rocket science but they do take two qualities:
