• Welcome Parents and Guardians!

     

    Hi there!  I hope you had a very nice summer!  My name is Jen Arcadipane and I will be your child’s teacher this year.  (The kids can call me Miss Jen.)  Faith Dickson (Miss Faith) is the teaching assistant in our class.  We are very excited and ready to have a great school year!

     

    I would like to fill you in on a few things…

    *Please find the Emergency Card in your child’s book bag.  This information is extremely important;  please return it to school as soon as possible.  If, over the course of the school year, this information changes, please call the school and inform the school nurse as well as myself…thanks! 

    *In the event your child is absent from school, please be sure to send in a written excuse for their absence, otherwise it will be recorded as an illegal absence.

    *We work on an A through F schedule.  Today was an F day, tomorrow will be an A day, and so on.  Each letter day we have a different special.  You can find the schedule in your child’s book bag.  Please be on the lookout for monthly calendars to help you and your child keep track of each day so that they are prepared.

    *Please be sure to mark all of your child’s belongings.  In the event something should get misplaced, it is helpful to have a name on it.

    *Please send in a clean set of clothes for your child…just in case.  If there is an “accident,” it helps to have a clean set of underwear, pants, socks, and shirt.  You can place their items in a Ziploc bag with their name on the outside and we will keep it safe…thanks!

    *There is a breakfast program available to your child.  The cost is $1.00.  If they are going to take advantage of it, please let us know so we are sure to send them.  Lunch is from 12:15 to 12:55.  The cost is $1.50.  Please look in your child’s book bag for the free/reduced breakfast/lunch form.  That needs to be returned ASAP to the school nurse so that the cafeteria is aware.

    *If it is possible, please send your child to school with a box or two of tissues to share with the class.  Colds will run through our class and it is so much better to have lots of extra boxes of Kleenex handy…thanks!

    *If your child receives related services, such as OT, PT, Speech, etc… I will send a copy of their schedule home as soon as the days and times are set.

    *We LOVE to celebrate birthdays in school!  If you’d like to send a special treat in on your child’s birthday, that would be great!  If thier birthday falls during July or August, we will celebrate their birthday in June.
