    These can be accessed on any computer, tablet or from the senior high school library webpage at https://www.saugerties.k12.ny.us/domain/167   Click on the second one down on the left hand side of the page:  Online Databases

    Online Databases Usernames and Passwords:

    • ABC-CLIO History Databases  user name:  saugertieshs        password:  12477!
    • ProQuest SIRS Researcher      user name:  saugerties           password:  12477
      • EBSCO Readers’ Guide to Periodical Literature     user name:  saugertieshs     Password:  12477!                                                                     
    • GALE databases, Britannica School, Brittanica Academic and Brittanica Escolar use geolocation so may not need a user name or password.  Just click on blue button that says “Use My Location.” If asked for NY State Library password it is empirelink. (free through NOVEL)
    • JSTOR      user name:  saugerties    password:  sawyers
    • Teen Health & Wellness:  user name:  ulster     pasword:  boces

     You can also access NOVEL online databases through Saugerties Public Library.  User name is your library card number and the PIN you set up.  http://ulsterlibraries.info/children/for-kids/

    If you do not have a library card, you can also access NOVEL (NY Online Virtual Electronic Library) databases through the New York State Library at https://novelnewyork.org/ using any New York State driver’s license number or New York Non-Driver ID number. 

    Read E-Books or Listen to Audiobooks at home or anywhere for Free!   Sora   With Sora, you have free access to eBooks and audiobooks from your school.Install the free Sora app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. This is a free app. You can read or listen to audiobooks on your smartphone or tablet or computer. On a computer just go to soraapp.com.

    In Sora, find your school, then sign in. No setup code needed. Just find Saugerties in the drop down menu. You sign in with your school Gmail account as your user name (such as sgrandstaff@saugerties.k12.ny.us) and your same Google password. With the app, you should only need to sign in once.

    Browse the Explore tab and borrow a book. Your book will open so you can start reading right away.

    Close the book and go to your Shelf to see all your books.  From there, you can:

    Tap Open Book or Open Audiobook to read or listen to the book.

    Tap Options to renew or return the book, get to your notes and highlights, and more.

    You can use it on up to 6 devices so your family can read too!
