Letters to Incoming Students from former 4th Graders (2014 - 2015)Dear Upcoming Fourth Graders,Many things are coming in this grade. Many exciting things happened this year. I will tell you those things later.Your teacher, Mrs. Kleinke, is very nice. I will tell you some things about her. She has a very nice son. And also, she works in a barn with ducks. She has 17 ducks.Let me tell you about some things that happened this year. We got to keep our own ducks. Also, we got to see ducks hatch. At the end of the month we got to watch a movie. Dear Incoming 4th Graders,
Mrs. Kleinke is a very nice teacher, but she always loses her glasses. She gives us reward time, too. In reward time, we go outside or play a board game. We watch a movie at the end of the month. My favorite is the board games. Best year ever!

Dear Incoming Fourth Graders,
Heads up - Mrs. Kleinke is super nice and fun. Mrs. Kleinke loves Social Studies. We learned about the American Revolutionary War and the Civil War. That's just some of the stuff about Social Studies.
We watch a movie at the end of the month, and have free time at the end of the day on Friday. We go to gym at the same time as the other 4th grade. Mrs. Kleinke loves to play with Flarp.

Dear Fourth Graders,
Mrs. Kleinke loves Social Studies, and she loses her glasses. A lot. We do a lot of fun stuff, like DEAR time, which stands for "Drop Everything And Read." We play Quizmo, and we read the book, The BFG. We don't have homework on weekends. Fourth Grade is a lot of fun. I'm sure you will like Fourth Grade.

Mrs. Kleinke makes Science and Social Studies fun. Mrs. Kleinke sometimes misplaces her glasses. She loves to trick the nurse with Flarp. (Noise Putty.) We have no homework on our birthdays. Mrs. Kleinke has a lot of books to read on her shelves. You have book reports throughout the year. At the end of each month, you will watch a movie.Mrs. Kleinke is always misplacing her glasses. She takes a lot of time to go through Social Studies. Science is also a lot of fun, too. We learn about earthquakes, volcanoes, and a whole lot of other stuff.You will go on a lot of field trips including going to New York City and going to the Kiersted house two times. With each story you read out of the reading book, there will be a spelling and reading test to go along with it.Fourth grade is fun, so do not be scared. It is the middle grade of Elementary School. It is fun, yet challenging. You walk in everyday to smiling faces, either students or teachers. Everybody has a good time even during tests.
