    Letters to Incoming Students from former 4th Graders (2014 - 2015)
     
    Dear Upcoming Fourth Graders,
       Many things are coming in this grade. Many exciting things happened this year. I will tell you those things later.
       Your teacher, Mrs. Kleinke, is very nice. I will tell you some things about her. She has a very nice son. And also, she works in a barn with ducks. She has 17 ducks.
       Let me tell you about some things that happened this year. We got to keep our own ducks. Also, we got to see ducks hatch. At the end of the month we got to watch a movie. That's all I have to tell you.

    Dear Incoming 4th Graders, 
       Mrs. Kleinke is a very nice teacher, but she always loses her glasses. She gives us reward time, too. In reward time, we go outside or play a board game. We watch a movie at the end of the month. My favorite is the board games. Best year ever!

    Dear Incoming Fourth Graders, 
       Heads up - Mrs. Kleinke is super nice and fun. Mrs. Kleinke loves Social Studies. We learned about the American Revolutionary War and the Civil War. That's just some of the stuff about Social Studies. 
       We watch a movie at the end of the month, and have free time at the end of the day on Friday. We go to gym at the same time as the other 4th grade. Mrs. Kleinke loves to play with Flarp.

    Dear Fourth Graders, 
       Mrs. Kleinke loves Social Studies, and she loses her glasses. A lot. We do a lot of fun stuff, like DEAR time, which stands for "Drop Everything And Read." We play Quizmo, and we read the book, The BFG. We don't have homework on weekends. Fourth Grade is a lot of fun. I'm sure you will like Fourth Grade.

    Dear Incoming Fourth Graders, 
       Mrs. Kleinke makes Science and Social Studies fun. Mrs. Kleinke sometimes misplaces her glasses. She loves to trick the nurse with Flarp. (Noise Putty.) For Field Day, our team name was the Kleinke Quackers, and Mrs. Kleinke dressed up like a duck. Sincerely, Ava S.

       Mrs. Kleinke loves Social Studies and to play with Flarp. She loses her glasses a lot. She gives us DEAR time. We do an ELA, Math, and Science test. Mrs. Kleinke is so fun because sometimes she lets us write answers on the SMART board for math. You will have the best time in fourth grade.

    Dear Incoming Fourth Grader,
       Mrs. Kleinke loves ducks. Mrs. Kleinke incubates ducks and some kids got to take them home. They were so cut. Mrs. Kleinke loves Social Studies. My friend, Mackenzie, calls Mrs. Kleinke "Mrs. Quackers." I hope you like Mrs. Kleinke as your fourth grade teacher.

    Dear Incoming Fourth Graders,
       Let me start by saying fourth grade is a lot of fun. We have no homework on our birthdays. Mrs. Kleinke has a lot of books to read on her shelves. You have book reports throughout the year. At the end of each month, you will watch a movie.
       Mrs. Kleinke is always misplacing her glasses. She takes a lot of time to go through Social Studies. Science is also a lot of fun, too. We learn about earthquakes, volcanoes, and a whole lot of other stuff.
       You will go on a lot of field trips including going to New York City and going to the Kiersted house two times. With each story you read out of the reading book, there will be a spelling and reading test to go along with it.
       Fourth grade is fun, so do not be scared. You will have a great year!

       You should not be scared. Fourth grade is a fun learning experience. There are some fun experiments.
       You go to New York City. When and if you go, make sure you have fun and also have a friend to sit next to because it's a long ride.

    Dear New 4th Graders,
       Fourth grade is fun. You do a lot of experiments, like dissecting owl pellets. For Social Studies, we went to New York City to see how the immigrants lived. A lot of times, Mrs. Kleinke forgets where she puts her glasses. She loves to talk about Social Studies and Science.

    Dear Incoming 4th Grader,
       Fourth grade was a blast! Social Studies and writing were my favorite things to do. Mrs. Kleinke loves to teach Social Studies. She admits that she talks way too much during Social Studies lessons.
       Toward the end of the year, you might go to New York City. Every month we watch a movie. In Science, we dissect owl pellets. Last year, someone in our class found a whole bird skull. You could open and close his mouth.
       I hope you have fun in 4th grade!

    Dear Incoming 4th Grader,
       Fourth grade is different. It is the middle grade of Elementary School. It is fun, yet challenging. You walk in everyday to smiling faces, either students or teachers. Everybody has a good time even during tests. Although you might not believe me, just wait. You do so many exciting things in fourth grade!
       A good thing about fourth grade is mostly all the people in your class you already know, and after fourth grade you truly have friends for life.
       Fourth grade is a wild ride! Be ready for excitement!

    Dear Incoming 4th Grader,
       Fourth grade is fun and you get to go on field trips. In the fourth grade you get to dissect owl pellets. It is fun! And you do math homework four days a week. On Fridays you get no homework. Sometimes on Fridays you get to play games at the end of the day.
       In fourth grade you go to the Kiersted House. You help the teacher find her glasses if she loses them and she'll lose them a lot.
