How You Can Help Your Child:
~ Encourage your child and praise his or her efforts in school.
~ Ask your child's opinion. Provide opportunities for your child to share his or her feelings about everyday or school-related events.
~ Encourage your child to use his or her new skills in problem solving. Ask for his or her help when you are trying to solve a simple scheduling or household problem.
~ Help your child learn about the outside world. Visit community music or art shows, or local library events. Read interesting articles in local and national newspapers.
~ Make time for your child to share what was learned through a day. Show your interest and share information of your own.
