Tentative Calendar of Events 2022-2023

September

• Vocal Interviews-parts assigned
• Fundraiser
• Lesson grouping
• Applications for All State, Area All State and All Nationals due
• Tri-M- Ceremony
• PEP RALLY Performance-SH Gym 1pm- Sing the National Anthem then sit with teams or remain with choir
• Musical Interest Meeting-Pass out Audition materials  (Monologue/song)

October 

• Musical Auditions
• Musical part assigned and passed out.  Rehearsals can begin with soloists.
• Section Leaders chosen
• Star Spangled Banner for Athletic Events- Various Quartets
• Mum Festival Performance- student conductor?

November

• Veteran’s Day performance at Senior Center during the school day
• Musical Rehearsals period 9
• Prepare for Winter Concert
• Prepare for Caroling
• Area All State Performance- Nov. 18th and 19th 

December

• All State Performance/Conference- Rochester Dec. 1-4
• Holiday in the Village- Sunday, December 4th approx. 1pm
• Musical Rehearsals period 9 and 3-4pm some days
• Winter Concert- Monday December 19th at 7:00 pm (Snow date-12/20) Students should arrive at 6:15pm.
• Caroling at all Elementary Schools Thursday, Dec. 22nd during the school day
• All County Auditions

January

• Musical Rehearsals everyday 3-5 Auditorium
• NYSSMA solo selections
• Rehearse for All County

February

• Musical Rehearsals everyday Auditorium 3-6pm
• NYSSMA Solo registration deadline
• Rehearse for All County-period 9 or independently at home
• NYSSMA Solo Prep-voice class and period 9
• Pops Concert Thursday, 2/23 at 7pm (snow date 2/27)

March

• Musical Rehearsals everyday Auditorium 3-5 but last two weeks before 3-8pm or whenever done (Pizza ordered or food brought for dinners)
• All County Choir 3/3 and 3/4 SUNY Ulster
• Prepare for Spring Concert and NYSSMA majors
• Nursing Home Visit-Perform NYSSMA solos
• Board Meeting Performance for Schools in our Month
• Musical "Into the Woods"- March 17th and 18th at 7pm and March 19th at 2pm.

April

• NYSSMA Solo Festival- possibly April 22-23

May 

• NYC Trip
• NYSSMA majors- Tentatively Monday, May 15th during the school day

June

• Spring Concert- Monday, June 5th at 7pm
• Moving Up Ceremony- TBA
• Spring Recital for Voice/Piano students on Monday, June 12th at 7pm
• Graduation- Friday, June 23rd at 6:30 pm (rain date-Saturday 6/24)                                                                                                                                                                                          

Dates in bold are mandatory performances, as we as an ensemble are a collaborative team that depends on each other. Dates not in bold are optional but strongly encouraged.
