In Person Classroom Expectations
- When we are working together in our classroom in the junior high, students are expected to be respectful, work hard, and do their best. No one should behave in a manner that interferes with their own learning or someone else's learning. Our goals are to work as independently as possible, but to help the students advocate for themselves, asking for help as needed and expressing their needs. We will work on managing their time and materials as well. Materials will be brought to and from school each day so that everyone is prepared in case of pivoting to remote instruction.
- At this time, masks are optional. Students are encouraged to wash and/or sanitize their hands frequently.
Remote Learning Expectations
**These are the expectations should we need to pivot to remote instruction at any time this year.**
- Students are expected to follow their schedules during Synchronous Instruction. (see the schedule page on the website or the Virtual Classroom)
- Students can join our classes through the Meet links in each Google Classroom.
- Attendance will be logged as participation in the days' tasks.
- Students should have a quiet and appropriate workspace (table, desk, location with minimal distractions). Please be seated with good posture and do not attend class from your bed.
- Please wear school-appropriate attire.
- Please come prepared with all your materials - books, packets, pencils, paper, etc.
- Camera feed will be expected to be on to maximize learning.
- Microphones should be muted unless contributing to the conversation. Please raise your hand or type a ? in the chat box to get our attention to unmute.
- If you have an internet connection issue that interferes with class that day, a parent/guardian should let me know as soon as possible.
- All notes, videos to support lessons, and assignments will be available in the Google Classroom. If class is missed, they can be accessed to make up the lesson.
