• Principle’s of Engineering

Balsa Bridge | Midwest Products Company |

Course description:   The class is designed to provide a hand on approach to the necessary skills required for a student to build and construct various projects which require an engineer’s approach in design. Parameters for designs will incorporate the basic principles that are needed for success. These parameters will be studied and discussed prior to the construction of these projects. The devices that will be studied will be broken down into their basic engineered components. The students will be looking at each component and how it works and is affected by other factors in the basic operation of the device. The class is designed to be an introduction to the field of engineering and students will build their projects based on known engineering principles as well as experimenting with their designs to try and gain any kind of insight or advantage.
