May is National Youth Traffic Safety Month
This May, as part of National Youth Traffic Safety Month, National Organizations for Youth SafetyThe Allstate Foundation’s Keep the Drive program to bring you Act Out Loud, a national teen-and school-led activism competition to help spread the word about safe teen driving. Visit ActOutLoud.org to submit their safe driving project idea for the chance to win up to $10,000. The winning team will also be able to direct an additional $5,000 to the non-profit national youth organization of their choice. But hurry – the deadline for submissions is midnight on March 26! Wiley Publishing, Inc. Scholarship
FCCLA is proud to announce their partnership with Wiley Publishing, Incorporated where Wiley Publishing, Inc. will provide one $1,000 scholarship annually to a qualified FCCLA senior recognizing exemplary leadership in FCCLA and in their family, school, and community. The recipient will be selected by an FCCLA awards committee based on the application information provided. This scholarship is a one-time cash award payable directly to the college or university.

DATA MATCH Scholarship Award For FCCLA Members
Data Match Inc., a compatibility matching fundraiser for high school clubs and organizations, now offers a $1,000 scholarship to a student involved in FCCLA. FCCLA students may also apply for other DATA MATCH scholarships if they are involved in Student Council, National Honor Society, DECA, Key Club, FBLA, Business Professionals of America, or any other club or organization.
Home Baking Association's Rewards for Baking Educator Award
Each year, the Home Baking Association offers an award to draw national attention to an excellent home-baking education program and the benefits of baking for family, personal and professional development. As long as the baking program reaches 6- to 18-year-old U.S. children, all types of educators who actively teach baking are eligible, including: classroom family and consumer sciences teachers, extension food and nutrition specialists, community after-school program volunteers, home-schooling parents, youth who teach other youth.
The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards
The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards honor young people in middle level and high school grades for outstanding volunteer service to their communities. Created in 1995 by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), the awards constitute the United States' largest youth recognition program based solely on volunteering. Over the past 12 years, the program has honored more than 75,000 young volunteers at the local, state, and national level.
Apply For A $500 Global Youth Service Day Minnie Grant
Funded by the Walt Disney Company, Youth Service America is offering grants of up to $500 to support youth (ages 5-14) in planning and implementing service projects in their community. Youth are encouraged to address issues such as climate change, diseases, human rights, and literacy. Applications are welcome from all countries and must be received by January 21. The National Peace Essay Contest promotes serious discussion among high school students, teachers, and leaders about international peace and conflict resolution. Students in grades 9-12 in the U.S., and U.S. territories are eligible to apply. This year's topic is natural resources and conflict. The deadline is February 1.
