• Voice Typing or Speech-to-Text

    Students who struggle with writing neatly or spelling can choose to speak into their computer or device instead of typing their work for their teachers. 

    Google Docs on a computer or Chromebook
    1. Open the particular Doc you're working on
    2. At the top, click on “Tools”
    3. Click on “Voice Typing”
    4. Click the microphone on (you may have to enable the microphone the first time).
     
    ♦ If you are using a computer, make sure you are using the Google Chrome Browser. Many of the features for Google do not work on Internet Explorer, etc.
     
    iPhone or iPad
    Press the microphone on your iPhone or iPad’s keyboard
     
    Android Phones
    1. At the Home screen, touch the Apps icon
    2. Open the Settings app
    3. Choose Language & Input. This command may be titled Input & Language on some phones.
    4. Ensure that the item Google Voice Typing has a check mark. If not, touch that item to activate Google Voice Typing.
